At the Paris Motor Show, at the start of October, Open will unveil the muscle car version of its Adam city car. On this version, we won’t find the OPC coat of arms from the sporting department of the Rüsselsheim brand, just an “S”. This “S” announces the arrival of an explosive look and first class performances.
At the aesthetic level, the sporty city car won’t go by unnoticed. The manufacturer has given it 18-inch 5-branch rims, a front shield, a small wing and a more imposing exhaust. Lastly, ten exterior tints are available in the catalogue. They can be combined with four different tints for the roof. The interior hasn’t been left out either. To guarantee a unique ambiance, Opel offers the choice between four types of seats, of which three are exclusive to the sport version. Concerning extreme customisation, it’s even possible to equip this Adam S with a chequered roof lining. Original, no?
To run the Adam S, Opel resorts to a 1.4 Turbo delivering 150 horsepower and with 220 Nm of torque. With this engine, the muscled city car is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The top speed, for its part, hasn’t been communicated yet. However, we know that the brake system of this muscled city car has been entrusted to OPC’s sports department. The prices will be announced in Paris. Patience...
And you, do you think that this bombshell will put the Abarth 500 in the shade?
