Summer is in full swing, and it's usually time for manufacturers to relax the pressure that surrounds the launch of a new model. A summer 'intermission' which mustn't let us forget that 2014 is far from being over, and that it still holds a myriad of novelties!
Among them, there are those that have already been announced, having for the most confirmed their presence at the Paris motor show at the start of October. That's the case for the Vokswagen Passat, always so consensual, but more technological; for the Opel Corsa, who has decided not to change so it can seduce better; or even the Mazda 2 which will adopt a more 'zoom-zoom' style. Let's also mention the Ford Mondeo which finally arrives on the old continent, the Jaguar XE which marks the return of the brand into family sedans, or even the Smart Fortwo and Forfour, already detailed in our pages.
But the end of the year will also be rich in surprises, namely around the class of small roadsters which will welcome two new 'top models': the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, faithful to the concept already seen, and also the fourth generation of the Mazda MX-5, which should be made official in the first days of September. Toyota should also be able to play spoilsport with a convertable version of its GT86. The SUV aren't left out either, as Land Rover refines its Discovery 4 and Volvo their XC90. We can add to that the Skoda Fabia, Mercedes AMG GT, Mini Clubman and Fiat 500 X (SUV) and say 'bring on autumn!'
Which new model are you waiting for impatiently?
