HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Een bijzonder originele en uitzonderlijk goed bewaarde Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 uit 1976. Een zeldzame verschijning, uitgevoerd in de prachtige originele kleur groen (258), gecombineerd met een Braunbeige/Shetland interieur. Een auto met een bijzonder fraaie historie, een kloppende documentatie en bovenal een uitzonderlijk hoge mate van originaliteit. Deze Porsche werd op 15 september 1976 nieuw geleverd door de Porsche-dealer in Schultz, Duitsland. Het originele Porsche Geburtsurkunde (geboortecertificaat) is aanwezig en bevestigt de oorspronkelijke specificaties, waaronder de matching numbers van motor en versnellingsbak.

De historie wordt ondersteund door diverse aanwezige documenten. Naast het originele Geburtsurkunde is ook de originele Betriebsanleitung aanwezig. Uit een Duitse factuur uit 1984 die bewaard is gebleven blijkt bovendien dat destijds de kettingspanners zijn vernieuwd. Na de levering in Duitsland werd de auto later geëxporteerd naar Illinois, waar hij bijna 40 jaar bij één eigenaar verbleef. Ook van deze tijd zijn onderhoudsfacturen en andere documentatie aanwezig. In 2016 kwam de Porsche naar Nederland. Sindsdien zijn verschillende onderhoudsbeurten uitgevoerd, waarvan de laatste in 2025. Een bijzonder goed gedocumenteerd exemplaar met een aantoonbare matching-numbers configuratie en een historie die voor een auto van deze leeftijd zeer aantrekkelijk is.

EXTERIEUR
De auto is uitgevoerd in de schitterende originele fabriekskleur groen, kleurcode 258-9-2 met de naam "Speedwaygrün". Het lakwerk is in het verleden professioneel opnieuw gespoten, uitsluitend om cosmetische redenen. Wat deze Porsche bijzonder maakt, is dat rondom de gehele auto nog de originele groene fabriekslak zichtbaar aanwezig is op diverse plaatsen. Denk hierbij onder andere aan de onderzijde van de motorkap en andere afgeschermde delen. Dit is een bijzonder waardevolle aanwijzing voor de uitzonderlijke conservering en het schadevrije verleden van de carrosserie.
De combinatie van het professioneel uitgevoerde lakwerk en de nog zichtbare originele fabriekslak op de beschermde delen geeft een bijzonder goed beeld van de oorspronkelijke staat en het verleden van deze auto. De carrosserie presenteert zich bijzonder fraai en verzorgd. Door ons is de onderzijde professioneel gereinigd middels dry-ice cleaning, waardoor ook de onderzijde weer uitstekend te beoordelen is (zie hiervoor ook ons uitgebreide fotoreportage). De originele zwarte 15-inch lichtmetalen velgen zijn aanwezig en zijn voorzien van zo goed als nieuwe Continental banden.

INTERIEUR
Het interieur verkeert in een uitzonderlijk mooie, originele staat. Uitgevoerd in de originele kleur Braunbeige/Shetland (code 65), een bijzonder fraaie combinatie met de groene carrosseriekleur. Zelden treffen we een interieur van deze leeftijd aan dat zo goed bewaard is gebleven. De bekleding, afwerking en overige interieurdelen zijn bijzonder netjes en grotendeels in een staat die nauwelijks aan de leeftijd van bijna 50 jaar doet denken. Een belangrijk detail is dat het interieur nog de oorspronkelijke uitstraling en authenticiteit bezit. Ook de authentieke Becker-radio is nog aanwezig. Samen met de originele bedieningselementen en de aanwezige originele Betriebsanleitung draagt dit bij aan het authentieke karakter van deze Porsche.

TECHNISCH
Onder de achterklep bevindt zich de originele 3.0-liter luchtgekoelde zescilinder boxermotor. Met een cilinderinhoud van 2.994 cc levert deze motor af fabriek 200 pk en 255 Nm koppel. De motor loopt goed en de auto rijdt, remt en schakelt zoals het hoort. De originele vijfbak (optie) zorgt voor een mooie spreiding van de versnellingen en maakt deze Carrera bijzonder prettig in gebruik. Een belangrijk aspect is de matching-numbers configuratie. Zowel het motornummer als het versnellingsbaknummer komen overeen met de gegevens op het originele Porsche Geburtsurkunde. De auto heeft in de loop der jaren het benodigde onderhoud gehad. Zo zijn in Nederland diverse onderhoudsbeurten uitgevoerd, met als laatste onderhoud in 2025. De onderzijde is door ons in november 2026 middels dry-ice cleaning gereinigd, waardoor de technische en cosmetische conditie goed inzichtelijk is.

ALGEMEEN
De Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 neemt een bijzondere plaats in binnen de geschiedenis van de luchtgekoelde 911. Geïntroduceerd in 1975 als opvolger van de Carrera 2.7, kreeg de Carrera 3.0 een grotere, 2.994 cc luchtgekoelde boxermotor. Deze leverde 200 pk en was technisch verwant aan de krachtbron van de legendarische 911 Turbo 3.0. De Carrera 3.0 werd slechts gedurende de modeljaren 1976 en 1977 geproduceerd. Carrera betekent in het Spaans "Race". In 1978 werd hij opgevolgd door de 911 SC 3.0. Daarmee vormt de Carrera 3.0 een interessante overgang tussen de vroege, klassieke 911-generatie en de latere SC-modellen. Juist de combinatie van de relatief beperkte productie, het krachtige 3.0-liter motorblok, de klassieke carrosserie en het karakteristieke rijgedrag maakt dit model bijzonder geliefd bij Porsche-liefhebbers en verzamelaars. De Carrera 3.0 is bovendien een model dat steeds meer waardering krijgt binnen de wereld van klassieke luchtgekoelde Porsches. HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
A remarkably original and exceptionally well-preserved 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0. A rare find, finished in the beautiful original green colour (258), combined with a Braunbeige/Shetland interior. A car with a particularly fine history, comprehensive documentation and, above all, an exceptionally high degree of originality. This Porsche was delivered new on 15 September 1976 by the Porsche dealer in Schultz, Germany. The original Porsche Geburtsurkunde (birth certificate) is present and confirms the original specifications, including the matching numbers of the engine and gearbox.

The vehicle’s history is supported by various documents on file. In addition to the original ‘Geburtsurkunde’, the original ‘Betriebsanleitung’ is also present. Furthermore, a preserved German invoice from 1984 shows that the chain tensioners were replaced at that time. After delivery in Germany, the car was later exported to Illinois, where it remained with a single owner for almost 40 years. Maintenance invoices and other documentation from this period are also available. In 2016, the Porsche was brought to the Netherlands. Since then, several servicing appointments have been carried out, the most recent of which was in 2025. A particularly well-documented example with a verifiable matching-numbers configuration and a history that is highly appealing for a car of this age.

EXTERIOR
The car is finished in the stunning original factory colour of green, colour code 258-9-2, known as ‘Speedwaygrün’. The paintwork was professionally repainted in the past, solely for cosmetic reasons. What makes this Porsche special is that the original green factory paintwork is still visible in various places all round the car. Examples include the underside of the bonnet and other sheltered areas. This is a particularly valuable indication of the bodywork’s exceptional preservation and damage-free history.
The combination of the professionally executed paintwork and the original factory paintwork still visible on the protected areas provides a particularly good indication of this car’s original condition and history. The bodywork presents itself in a particularly fine and well-maintained condition. We have professionally cleaned the underside using dry-ice cleaning, which means that the underside can also be assessed to an excellent standard (see also our extensive photo report). The original black 15-inch alloy wheels are fitted and feature Continental tyres that are as good as new.

INTERIOR
The interior is in an exceptionally fine, original condition. It is finished in the original Braunbeige/Shetland colour (code 65), a particularly attractive combination with the green body colour. It is rare to find an interior of this age that has been so well preserved. The upholstery, trim and other interior components are exceptionally neat and, for the most part, in a condition that hardly suggests an age of nearly 50 years. An important detail is that the interior still retains its original look and authenticity. Together with the original controls and the included original owner’s manual, this contributes to the authentic character of this Porsche.

TECHNICAL
Under the boot lid lies the original 3.0-litre air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine. With a displacement of 2,994 cc, this engine delivers 200 pk and 255 Nm of torque as standard. The engine runs smoothly and the car drives, brakes and changes gear as it should. The original five-speed gearbox (optional) provides a well-spaced gear ratio and makes this Carrera a particular pleasure to drive. An important aspect is the matching-numbers configuration. Both the engine number and the gearbox number correspond to the details on the original Porsche ‘Geburtsurkunde’. The car has received the necessary maintenance over the years. Various servicing appointments have been carried out in the Netherlands, with the most recent service taking place in 2025. We cleaned the underbody using dry-ice cleaning in November 2026, providing a clear picture of its technical and cosmetic condition.

GENERAL
The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 occupies a special place in the history of the air-cooled 911. Introduced in 1975 as the successor to the Carrera 2.7, the Carrera 3.0 was fitted with a larger, 2,994 cc air-cooled boxer engine. This produced 200 pk and was technically related to the engine of the legendary 911 Turbo 3.0. The Carrera 3.0 was produced only during the 1976 and 1977 model years. ‘Carrera’ means ‘race’ in Spanish. In 1978, it was succeeded by the 911 SC 3.0. As such, the Carrera 3.0 represents an interesting transition between the early, classic 911 generation and the later SC models. It is precisely the combination of its relatively limited production run, the powerful 3.0-litre engine, the classic bodywork and the characteristic handling that makes this model particularly popular amongst Porsche enthusiasts and collectors. The Carrera 3.0 is also a model that is gaining increasing recognition within the world of classic air-cooled Porsches. In particular, examples with matching numbers, original factory specifications and a high degree of originality are in great demand.
