The Porsche 911 (964) Turbo 3.3 — a name that may be a mouthful, but entirely justified. Porsche itself seemed to understand that the longer the badge, the higher the stakes. The Turbo was famously marketed as: “An expensive sports car, or a very reasonable race car.” And that is exactly what it is.

This is a machine with more racing DNA than most drivers are comfortable handling. Often referred to as the “widowmaker,” it delivers an unfiltered, deeply visceral driving experience. With nearly all its weight over the rear axle, 320 horsepower from Stuttgart, a brutally large turbo, and minimal electronic interference, this is a car that demands respect — and rewards skill. So, is the Turbo really that special? In short: absolutely.

Compared to a standard 964, the Turbo is fully present: wider hips, a more muscular stance, sitting lower on the road, and those signature dual exhausts releasing all that forced-induction fury. It feels like the purest interpretation of what the 911 was always meant to be — as if this came first, and the “regular” 911 followed.

Side by side, the comparison is almost unfair.

This particular example comes from a distinguished Porsche collection and is in exceptional, near-new condition.
