HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Deze Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4, chassis 062, is een pure circuitraceauto die volgens de FIA GT4-voorschriften werd gebouwd voor het raceteam Jota Sport. Het exemplaar werd in 2010 voor het eerst geleverd aan Jota Sport, een gerenommeerd raceteam en Le Mans-veteraan. De eerste wedstrijd waaraan de auto deelnam was de legendarische 24 uur van Spa, waar hij werd bestuurd door Jota Sport-directeur Simon Dolan en de coureurs Sam Hancock, Joe Twyman en Roger Willis. De auto finishte zonder incidenten en behaalde bij zijn eerste optreden direct de eerste plaats in zijn klasse. Tijdens de 24 uur van Silverstone volgde opnieuw een sterk resultaat. Met Dolan en Hancock achter het stuur, aangevuld met Aston Martin-hoofdingenieur Chris Porritt, eindigde de auto als tweede in zijn klasse en vijfde in het algemeen klassement.
De auto bezocht daarnaast tweemaal het legendarische Circuit de la Sarthe voor deelname aan de jaarlijkse Aston Martin Festival Race, die als voorprogramma van de 24 uur van Le Mans wordt verreden. In 2012 werd de auto bestuurd door de beroemde acteur Rowan Atkinson, met wie hij als zevende eindigde in het algemeen klassement. In 2018 namen Stephen en Felix Archer het stuur over en eindigde de auto als 23e in het algemeen klassement. EXTERIEUR
De Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 is uitgevoerd in wit en voorzien van diverse sponsorstickers, passend bij zijn oorspronkelijke racedoeleinden. De auto staat op een set 18-inch OZ Racing-lichtmetalen velgen. Dee auto verkeert voor een raceauto in zeer fraaie staat. De carrosserie vertoont enkele gebruikssporen en er bevindt zich een kleine deuk in het linkerdeurpaneel. Daarnaast is er een barst in de voorruit. De auto zou gedurende zijn racecarrière zorgvuldig zijn voorbereid en onderhouden door Jota Sport en is nooit bij een ongeval betrokken geweest.

INTERIEUR
Het interieur is volledig ingericht volgens de eisen van de racerij en beschikt over twee zwarte kuipstoelen. Verder is de auto voorzien van een rolkooi, een digitaal dashboard volgens racespecificaties en een afneembaar Sabelt-stuurwiel. De uitrusting is volledig gericht op circuitgebruik en onderstreept het pure racekarakter van deze V8 Vantage GT4.

TECHNISCH
De Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 wordt aangedreven door een atmosferische 4,7-liter V8-motor. De kracht wordt via een handgeschakelde zesversnellingsbak naar de achterwielen overgebracht. Daarmee beschikt de auto over de klassieke combinatie van een hoogtoerige atmosferische V8, achterwielaandrijving en een handgeschakelde transmissie. De uitrusting omvat onder meer rijverlichting, een rolkooi, een digitaal race-dashboard en een afneembaar Sabelt-stuurwiel. De auto is ontwikkeld als volwaardige GT4-raceauto en werd gebouwd volgens de FIA GT4-voorschriften.

HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4, chassis 062, is a pure circuit racing car built to FIA GT4 regulations for the Jota Sport racing team. The car was first delivered to Jota Sport, a renowned racing team and Le Mans veteran, in 2010. The first race in which the car competed was the legendary 24 Hours of Spa, where it was driven by Jota Sport director Simon Dolan and the drivers Sam Hancock, Joe Twyman and Roger Willis. The car finished without incident and immediately secured first place in its class on its debut. Another strong result followed at the 24 Hours of Silverstone. With Dolan and Hancock at the wheel, joined by Aston Martin chief engineer Chris Porritt, the car finished second in its class and fifth overall.
The car also visited the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe twice to take part in the annual Aston Martin Festival Race, which is held as a support event for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2012, the car was driven by the famous actor Rowan Atkinson, with whom it finished seventh overall. In 2018, Stephen and Felix Archer took the wheel and the car finished 23rd overall. The car comes with a comprehensive documentation folder, including documents, copies of AM Monthly magazine and photographs of the car. Also included in the sale are an Aston Martin helmet, an Aston Martin laptop engine diagnostic tool in a protective case, a set of spare wheels, tanks for the compressed air jacks and one key.

EXTERIOR
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 is finished in white and features various sponsor stickers, in keeping with its original racing purpose. The car is fitted with a set of 18-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels. For a racing car, the car is in very good condition. The bodywork shows some signs of wear and there is a small dent in the left-hand door panel. There is also a crack in the windscreen. The car is said to have been carefully prepared and maintained by Jota Sport throughout its racing career and has never been involved in an accident.

INTERIOR
The interior is fully fitted out to racing specifications and features two black bucket seats. The car is also fitted with a roll cage, a digital dashboard to racing specifications and a removable Sabelt steering wheel. The specification is entirely geared towards track use and underlines the pure racing character of this V8 Vantage GT4.

TECHNICAL
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V8 engine. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. This gives the car the classic combination of a high-revving naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. The specification includes, amongst other things, track lights, a roll cage, a digital racing dashboard and a detachable Sabelt steering wheel.
