Morgan Plus Six, year 2019.
Finished in Rolls Royce Velvet Green with a dark brown full leather interior, complemented by a green mohair soft top, matching side screens and hood cover, and a bespoke hard top in body colour with a black headlining.
This distinguished Plus Six was the first example ordered from the Netherlands.
The original owner specified an extensive list of bespoke options, resulting in delivery in early 2020.
The Plus Six brings together two distinct automotive worlds: the ultra modern bonded aluminium chassis paired with the BMW Z4 (M40i) drivetrain, and the lightweight classic Morgan aluminium bodywork on an ash frame, a construction method Morgan has used since the first Plus 4 of 1936.
The result is a remarkably cohesive and beautifully crafted sports car.
Despite its traditional silhouette, performance is very much of today.
With a kerb weight of just 1,120 kg and 340 hp, the power to weight ratio is 3.29 kg per hp, identical to that of the Ferrari 360 Modena.
The open top roadster concept, the superb chassis, the luxurious yet sporty interior, and the view over the louvred bonnet together create a driving experience far more engaging than that of any conventional sports car.
This full options example is in superb condition throughout and has covered only 19,800 kilometres from new. Supplied by Louwman Exclusive, it has had one careful owner.
The bespoke hard top, finished in body colour, features a glass rear window and velour like black headlining. Matching side screens are included.
The extensive options list comprises special 18 inch alloy wheels, wind wings with Plus Six script, two sets of side screens (one for the soft top, one for the hard top), special door mounted mirrors, a luggage rack with integrated stowage for side screens, CIBIÉ spot lamps, clear indicator lenses, mesh grille, and more.
