The BMW Z1 is a roadster produced by BMW between 1989 and 1991, known for its bold design and technical innovations.
What makes it unique are its retractable doors : they disappear vertically into the sills, allowing the car to be driven with the doors open. Its style was very futuristic for its time, with a body made of removable plastic panels attached to a galvanized steel chassis.
