The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda is one of the most iconic convertibles ever produced by Mercedes-Benz. Designed by Paul Bracq, the W113 series combines timeless elegance with exceptional build quality, dependable engineering and outstanding driving comfort. Thanks to its distinctive "Pagoda" hardtop, refined inline-six engine and luxurious finish, the 280 SL remains one of the most sought-after classic Mercedes-Benz models today.
This 1970 example is presented in exceptional condition following a recent professional restoration and is finished in the elegant factory colour Horizontblau . It is powered by the reliable 2,778 cc inline-six engine , paired with an automatic transmission . The body has been professionally repainted, while the underside and engine bay have been completely restored to an almost factory-new standard. The soft top has been renewed and the interior is beautifully presented throughout. In addition, the engine has been converted to electronic fuel injection , providing improved reliability and smoother performance. Owing to the outstanding quality of its restoration and finish, this Mercedes-Benz 280 SL is presented in true concours condition and has been awarded Grade 1 according to the strict German classic car classification system , the highest possible distinction for a historic vehicle. The car is also ready for European registration , with the required E705 import documents included.
