The Mercedes-Benz 450 SL (R107) is one of the most successful and timeless roadsters ever produced by Mercedes-Benz. The R107 series combines the comfort and solid engineering for which Mercedes-Benz is renowned with a powerful V8 engine and elegant, timeless styling. Thanks to its exceptional build quality, comfortable driving characteristics and dependable mechanicals, the 450 SL has become a highly desirable classic, equally suited to relaxed touring and long-distance journeys.
This 1979 example has benefited from an older professional restoration and is finished in an elegant blue colour scheme. It is powered by the robust 4,520 cc V8 engine , paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox . As most 450 SLs left the factory with an automatic transmission, this professionally executed manual conversion provides a far more engaging and rewarding driving experience.
