Description
The Rolls-Royce Phantom — affectionately nicknamed “The 7” among enthusiasts. This was the very first Rolls-Royce developed entirely under BMW’s stewardship. In 1998, Rolls-Royce, together with Bentley, was sold to the Volkswagen Group. However, the rights to the “Rolls-Royce” name remained with Rolls-Royce Aerospace, which subsequently transferred them to BMW.
The Phantom shares around 15% of its components with the BMW range. And honestly? A perfect combination, if you ask us: BMW’s finest engineering wrapped in the style and elegance of British aristocracy. Ahead of the Phantom’s launch, BMW created an entirely separate dealer network, determined to avoid what had happened to Mercedes with Maybach — which eventually became perceived as simply a luxury Mercedes. That fate did not befall the Phantom.
The Phantom Drophead is equipped with a 6,750 cc engine — a nod to classic Rolls-Royce models. This time, however, it is a BMW-sourced V12 producing 460 horsepower. What you are driving is not simply a car — it is a land yacht. And while it feels as though you are being chauffeur-driven, self-driving remains the true pleasure.
And ours? This lady was originally delivered by the Rolls-Royce dealer in Overijse, Belgium. She was serviced there until 2016, when a Dutch owner took over the wheel. Maintenance work carried out by Cito Motors and Veerman is carefully documented in the service book.
Finished in Black Diamond Metallic, with a Crème Light interior, brushed steel packages, and various options from the Special Equipment Programme. Everything fits. Everything shines.
A driving yacht on four wheels. Ready for its next owner — someone who understands her value, recognises her class, and is ready to take her on new adventures.
