Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0 Veloce 1991

• Last production series (Ultima/Bella)
• Exceptionally low mileage of 35,034 km (NAP)
• Originally delivered in the Netherlands
• Rare black exterior with black leather interior
• Original delivery and service booklets present
• Last major service (worth €3,000) carried out in 2025
HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This Alfa Romeo is an example from the final series of the iconic Spider: a model that has been in production in its basic form since the 1950s. This particular car was delivered new by the Alfa Romeo dealer in The Hague on 1 May 1991. The car has always been owned by Dutch owners. A notable feature is the very low mileage of just over 35,000 kilometres and the car’s highly original condition. The original mileage is confirmed by the RDW’s NAP odometer report. Even the soft top is still original, yet remains virtually in new condition! This suggests that the car has been used only for touring or holiday trips. The original delivery, service and instruction booklets are still with the car. The MOT is valid until 24 January 2027. Thanks to extensive maintenance carried out in 2025 by the Alfa Romeo specialist, the car is fully roadworthy for its next owner!
EXTERIOR
The Alfa is stylishly finished in ‘Nero’ black paint (colour code 817) with a black leather interior. A rare, rugged and very attractive colour for this Spider, precisely because it is so uncommon. The paintwork is in very good condition and has a deep gloss. A professional valet was carried out in April 2026. The chrome trim is also in good condition. The car is in original condition, which is entirely due to the exceptionally low mileage. The 15-inch aluminium Ronal alloy wheels are as good as new and are fitted with good Michelin tyres all round. The rubber seals and lighting are still intact. All the windows are still original. There is an electric antenna. The black soft top is still original but in very good condition, suggesting that the car has always been stored in a dry place. The soft top can be neatly stowed away under the tonneau cover.
INTERIOR
The attractive leather interior is finished entirely in black and is in very good condition with no damage. The dashboard is also still in good condition. The seats are very comfortable and there are neat Alfa Romeo floor mats. The buttons and dials are in particularly good condition. The steering wheel and gear knob are also in exceptionally good condition. Furthermore, the interior features, amongst other things, a new Pioneer radio with Bluetooth, electrically operated mirrors and electrically operated windows. A windscreen is also fitted. The boot is tidy and features beige upholstery. The spare wheel is located in the lower compartment. There is also a smaller compartment available, which can accommodate items such as tools.
TECHNICAL
The last service was carried out in 2025 by an Alfa Romeo specialist. Among other things, the rear suspension arms, engine mounts and various interior parts were replaced during this service. The car was also aligned and a new Pioneer radio with Bluetooth was installed. The car starts, drives and changes gear as it should. It has a smooth and sporty character, yet is also comfortable. The 1,962 cc 4-cylinder fuel-injected engine delivers 123 hp and takes the Alfa to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. This is the most sought-after engine, which is also renowned for its reliability. Under the bonnet, everything looks fresh, clean and dry. We can hardly imagine a better car for cruising around the Italian lakes or the Côte d’Azur, for example!
GENERAL INFORMATION
The now famous Alfa Romeo Spider was unveiled on 10 March 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was the successor to the Giulietta Spider and was the first of a total of four series that would eventually be produced. The fourth and final series was only built from 1990 to 1993. Two engines were available: a 1.6-litre and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder. Models with the 2.0-litre engine were named Veloce (which is Italian for ‘fast’) and are, naturally, the most powerful. The combination of power, performance and smoothness makes this engine the most popular. The design is the work of the renowned designer Pininfarina. This generation is known for its pleasant handling and reliability, resulting in rising prices.
