With that thought in mind, we left the door slightly ajar, allowing this Volvo to gently slip into our showroom. This robust workhorse was produced between 1956 and 1970 and became an international success for Volvo, which developed the model in several variants. In total, 667,332 units of this type were built, available as two-door, four-door, and station wagon versions.
And ours? Without a doubt the finest of them all! An original, Dutch-delivered two-door from 1965. During its restoration, it was completely resprayed in its original dark blue colour (code 96), beautifully paired with a stylish blue interior. Under the bonnet sits the well-known B18 engine with a single Stromberg carburettor, mated to a manual four-speed gearbox with overdrive.
